What you have to do is switch weapons with one of the Troopers (Marines). To do that you have to be carrying a UNSC weapon and go up to one of them and Press the X button. You can always get your weapon back too.

Katsumi Now this is an insanely easy achievement to acquire. Pretty much everyone should be able to get this within the first few minutes of the game
Yeah, I agree. Surprisingly some people fail to get this one though.
