[TUT] Making a Wrath of the Lich King WoW Private Server (MaNGOS - Windows)
Note: Please read my other WoW server setup guide and make a normal server first, there are many things in there that I won't repeat here (such as installing SQLyog and MySQL, configuring files, etc).
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
-A full WotLK sandbox pack
Please note that the database included in the pack provided is not complete; it has no NPCs or anything, thus is really only useful to look around at a few of the WotLK features, such as the death knight looks and the Northrend maps.
-The WotLK expansion pack (2.44GB unpacked)
When you run the WotLK wow.exe, only update it ONCE!
Step 1
-Install the Wrath of the Lich King Alpha expansion pack
-Run it once, it should update on it's own (only do that single update)

Step 2
-Load all your databases to a new connection in SQLyog (click the New Connection button) OR use the same connection as your normal server, but make sure to make new databases with different names, then changing them in your realmd.conf and mangosd.conf files
-Configure both the configuration files states in the first instruction of step 2
-Configure both the configuration files states in the first instruction of step 2
Step 3
-Extract all your DBC files the normal way, except in your Wrath of the Lich King installation, not the normal World of Warcraft one), and make a DBC folder in your sandbox folder, then place all the DBC files in there (the DBC files included are probably outdated)
-Extract all the map files the normal way, make a maps folder in your sandbox folder, then place all the maps in there (the maps included are probably
outdated as well)
**vMaps aren't required for this experiment, but follow my other server guide to get vMaps if you get LOS problems.

Step 4
-Change your realmlist.wtf file in your Wrath of the Lich King installation folder according to your realmd -> realmlist table in your SQL connection
-Run mangosd.exe and realmd.exe, then run WoW.exe in your Wrath of the Lich King folder
-Type in .go 1 1 1 571 in-game (this will bring you to Northrend)
-You will have to swim for a bit before you get to shore, so the speed command is .modify aspeed [#, can be from 1 to 10]
-Have fun
