Assuming you already know how to extract the tw2 file to your hex editor i will explain how to mod your armor and random items with hex.

First open your hex editor with the tw2 file on it the click find and use the text string and search for what ever you want to change(this does not work for weapons only armor/clothing). To make it easier to find the codes we are looking for make sure not to have any crystals on the item.

After you have found the item look for the coding that resembles XX XX XX FF XX XX XX FF XX XX XX FF XX XX XX FF. Each of the x's represents a number or letter. replace each number/letter except the F's with a 0 and save. Load the file back up onto the game and the item you have changed should be jet black.
