Standard English dictates that the word 'Massacre' relates to indiscriminate killing.

The words definition was twisted when it was adopted from Mandarin Chinese words given to instances when members of villages and tribes were rounded up into small areas and arrows were fired from the walls at the sides as 'massacre' during the carving out of the empire.

I also think it would be fun to fire the Death Star's cannon, does this make it right?

I meant as in my backyard or at a ranch or shooting range, not at people

Honestly gun control is stupid. There's no point of it. I love ohio because they are not following the law just like texas. I own a few high powered snipers and a few rifles.

You do realize that something airborne has to land eventually, right? People get hit by bullets all the time from a misfire or someone shooting up in the air a few blocks away.

My families neighbor actually got hit by a stray bullet from a park because people were shooting in the air. Safe enough to shoot randomly?

It's called I have a shooting range in my backyard and we have the permits for rapid fire firearms so I can shoot a M4 right now but I'm talking about anyone to be able to own a fully automatic firearm.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that bullets didn't misfire and hit someone nearby or penetrate objects.

Now if you are one of the few who are in a secluded area, fine understandable. But at least 80% of the United States has a nearby neighbor. (My estimate, but it makes sense. I travel all the time and houses generally are close together and country settings are becoming less common)

Not everyone has a shooting range nearby, let alone in their back yard :facepalm:.

The issue is that people are basing laws off of personal experience and personal gain. Kill an extra 300 people a year just because I'm in the minority who isn't in a heavily populated area and I won't shoot someone just because.

i think you put that very well my fellow texan there just trying to make it easier for the government to have more power if the people were to have to fight the government but regardless i think stronger gun control is just ridiculous

Gun control or at least more of it was always a ridiculous idea !.

There are way to many guns already out there for any new gun control laws to have any effect.
BUT.....

What is the biggest commodity shortage in America today ?.

It's ammunition !!.

This is exactly why people need to be informed. A so called "Assault weapon" (which is actually just a sporting rifle" shoots SEMI-AUTOMATIC. Diane Fienstein herself probably doesn't even know that.
ALSO, automatic firearms are ILLEGAL in the hands of civilians. Only law enforcement and other military-type personal can own one.

No you dont call of duty kiddy,there is no permit for pre 1986 assault weapons you just have to pay a $200 tax and register the gun. You only get a permit as a dealer to sell the guns, stop trying to be a firearms expert from call of duty.

The process takes upwards of 6 months and involves intense background checks.

No gun is a "sniper" unless in the hands of a trained sniper, until that point it is a high powered rifle.You guys need to stop getting firearms knowledge solely from call of duty.
