Do you honestly think people would choose not to go to college even if they had the money to do so?
Because if they had the money to go to college, they wouldn't be working in a fast food joint.

im guessing you work at a fast food joint ? Most people that work there would like it. but the richer class would hate it .

I'm in a middle class family.
I don't need to work and I will be able to go to college without student loans.
Just because someone is a lower class than you, doesn't mean you should treat them like they're peasants.

People do choose not to go to college if they had the money they waste it on other things like drugs and alcohol and they end up working at fast food joints. A lot of people who go to college work at fast food places to pay loans and I totally respect that.

There are some people that drop out to support their ill family.
Some don't go to college because they simply can't afford it.
Raising minimum wage isn't a bad thing.
People are paid minimum wage in a lot of other establishments than just fast food as well.
That's all true, but if we raise minimum wage, then the price of everything goes up. There wont be a dollar menu anymore, and more than likely gas prices will increase...
I agree that their life is hard, but I don't think they should be paid more because of all the economic consequences...
Not it won't.
The dollar won't bottom out because of $1.50 raise to the minimum wage.
The fact you say that people should work for less so that you can pay less is absolutely repulsive.
I never said that people should work for less so I can pay less. If they get paid more, there money is not going to go farther for them. It will only increase everything else and they'll be in the same spot asking for more money later.
The question is, why are you so defensive about minimum wages? Increasing minimum wage isn't a good thing when you only do that. They could fix it by lowering higher wages and increasing lower wages, but that's unconstitutional because it violates our rights. America shouldn't be about everyone being equal, that's communism. We have freedom

Because there are people commenting on this thread that have never worked a day in their life treating the lower class like peasants.
I understand there are degenerates that messed up their own life, but there are also people that don't have a choice but to live off of minimum wage.

Of course you don't agree with it.
You're are/been a sheltered kid and will be able to go to college.
