ProJimmyRustler wrote Tips are earned not deserved. Not everyone tips. Get used to it. Sure, its the right thing to do in most cases, but don't act like your deserve one. The company provides you with a car. So I assume that pay for gas. Nothing is really coming out of your pocket so you don't NEED a tip. Plus you are new. Regulars will give tips. You can tall when a waiter is kissing ****. Even if they really aren't trying to. Earn your tips. Don't assume you deserve it.

For the people saying that "Companies don't pay alot, or by the hour" they are required to meet a certain amount. This amount is determined by your states minimum wage. Mine is $7.25/hour
If you work 20 hours and get paid 3.75 an hour you get $75.
Now take that 20 hours and times it by your states minimum wage. $145
If you make no tips then you job owes you $70.
This is why its important to calculate your own pay and keep track of tips.
i really dont want this to sound like i am offending you in any way, but have your read the replies? i have already stated that my pay is illegally low, as the pizza business is stingy to young workers. also the whole point OF my rant was that tipping in a restaurant/delivery should be common courtesy.
Then report them and find a different job. This is you not them. Like I said earn tips.
Uggh  . like i said, there are not many jobs offering 17 year olds cars to drive around in. that is too valuable for me to simply give up

Then don't complain about it. Tips aren't mandatory unless you are going to a major franchise like Texas Road House or BJ's. If someone wants to they will tip you.

Well that's life. I personally believe that driving around delivering isn't much of a job to begin with, so I usually only tip a few dollars, 1 or 2, and if lucky 3.

Sometimes people just forget. I ordered a pizza the other day and forgot to tip. Just think of each of the scenarios.

Ordered 100$+ worth of pizza/wings ect.
That obviously wasnt for himself. He probably had a party and just didnt think about it at the time. Maybe he was a little drunk. Who knows?

The old couple
They are old. Old people tend to forget things. Stuff is getting into your head man.

Like others said, you drive a car and walk to people's doorsteps. Unless its snowing or raining, I dont tip well as is, maybe 2 or 3 bucks at most.

I hate people like you.. You expect tips for simply doing your simple job. I never tip because your already doing your job i dont just throw my hard earned money away for free. Go get a real job and stop complaining

Labyrinth wrote You get paid for your job, don't you?
I don't understand why we seem to have this idea that we should tip waiters and pizza boys but not supermarket assistants or secretaries, etc.

You do a job, you get paid.
If you don't like the pay and getting tips is something you need to stay afloat, find a better paying job.

Why do we tip waiters? Because they make a little over like $2/hour.

People don't leave a tip for a reason, the reasons could be;

- They don't have enough money to leave a tip.
- They don't think the service was good enough for a tip.
- They didn't enjoy the food / drink.

They are reason why people don't leave a tip, and ranting about this is Greedy in my opinion.

Well then get off your lazy ass and actually pick up your food. Delivery drivers have to personally deliver food to your doorstep. Even in bad weather conditions. I hate people like you.. Cheap bastards
