I think I could try helping you with the problem. With my Slim (it broke) I never slowed the disc down, but instead I just take the disc out and put in my modded one ... what kind of DVD drive do you have? (e.g Phillips and Lite-On [which was mine])

1. I can't get the ISO to download through my downloading program.
