I would say it depends on HOW we became immortal .if through tech/cybernetic means one could eventually say would we still be human or have souls.if through biological means,it would STILL be at the cost of our humanity via enhanced animal genes added.ever seen a frog unthaw from a frozen pond? all built in-why we'd go that route..

It will happen at some point but no where near our lifetimes maybe in 500-1000 years, think how long it took us to get where we are now in technology, its the same as evolution if you believe in it, we started from **** t-rexs and shit, now look where we are and how long it took to get here!
