As humans grow older they perceive time differently which makes you think time is going slightly faster than it should this does not disprove the fact that immortality could be possible but after a couple thousand years peoples lives will fly by you and you will never be able to have any relationships not to mention that eventually no matter how long the world is going to die and if it were to happen as though that it is something that could destroy earth completely then you would still be alive and would spend the rest of time floating in space.

this is just a thing I thought about doesn't mean it would be like this it would depend on the way immortality came to become possible.

Where does it say our hands will be down to our ankles, that sounds ridiculous and I can't see how that is evolutionary.
