ORL_MAGIC wrote If its is a success on the pc which I have doubts, then it will come to the xbox when its good and ready. To the people saying it will be on low and med setting, what the hell are you talking about? When making it for a different platform they make it fit that specific platform so if they did do it then it would run perfectly fine with no problems. Also to the person saying it could run high because of how much ram is on the new xbox, do you have any idea how games work?
if you are refering to me when i mentioned that the new xbox one has 8 gig of ram then yes i do understand how games work, which is why if you READ my comment correctly you will see i also state "and the new capabilities" of the Xbox one, seeing as no one knows EXACTLY what the capabilities are of the console yet, but games like watchdog's which have the best graphics i have seen in a game ever and a HUGE open detailed world, running all at once with no loading scenes, which means the console is powerfull, and seeing as how most of DayZ's maps have basically **** all in the wilderness just a few randomly copy/pasted buildings im sure that the Xbox one will be able to run it perfectly aswell as pc at higher settings.

I don't really like DayZ. But I guess it'll be nice to try.

I apologize. I read your post wrong. I made a mistake. I read it as you saying just because it has a lot of ram it could run a with better graphics.
My bad.

its cool man i assumed you read it wrong haha, but yeah im just saying Ram side it has enough, i mean the 360 has what 512MG of ram? and the GPU is pretty outdated now but the new consoles with 8GB of ram and a heavily modified ATI GPU will probably be pretty decent and be more than able to run games like DayZ, its like someone said though its the control scheme, with their being so many buttons for DayZ, but i suppose they could use functions like all 8 directions on the D-pad and then another different 8 functions if holding say LB and pressing a direction it gives 16 buttons in addition to the other 11 if you include pushing down the analogs, so thats 27 buttons.

what makes somone a pc player then?
Because i have a custom built gaming rig that i spent 850 building, i play BF3, BO2, Skyrim, DayZ, minecraft and loads of MMO games.
i also own a PS3 and 360 and play games like inFAMOUS, God of War, Halo 4, BF3 on 360, RDR, GTA IV and a load of others.
Im a pc gamer as well as console.
Just because people want DayZ on console makes them no less a pc gamer, maybe a lot of their friends dont have gaming pc's with them being expensive to get, bringing it to console would let them play a very fun game with their friends. Playing DayZ solo is boring 90% of the time

I really wanted Day-Z to come to the xbox for a long time now and with the xbox one coming out I don't even care anymore. There are so many great games like COD:Ghost, GTA V, Battlefield 4, Fifa 14, Assassins Creed: Black Flag, and more coming to the xbox one. So if it end's up eventually on the xbox one ya sure I would get it, but nothing to get worked over about now that this is the best year of gaming in a long, long time.

Look at all the butthurt pc players complaining about DayZ on console.
Go away kids, PC is better. But dayz would be great on console.
