what this means...
No more always online requirement
The console no longer has to check in every 24 hours
All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360
An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console
All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline
No additional restrictions on trading games or loaning discs
Region locks have been dropped

If it's true, their pre-order rates will hit the roof!

If this is true, Microsoft made the best decision of their career! Pre orders for the One will actually happen!

I just heard about this on twitter, honestly its a good move if it true but, on the down side MS looks like Pussys for making a stand on what they stand for with the xbox one,and just changing it like that, but at this point, sorry for this mini rant

This is just a rumour and it fails to mention that you can unplug the kinect and still use the Xbox One?

I'm not holding my breath, but this is great if it's true. I would applaud Microsoft for finally realizing the error of their ways. I think for the long run, this would be the smartest move for them. They have to secure their future. This may not do much (since people are still angry and whatnot) at first, but they will see more customers come their way over time. I really hope they do this.

MPAA wrote This is just a rumour and it fails to mention that you can unplug the kinect and still use the Xbox One?You can turn it off and still use it. There is a setting on the Console that allows you to do so.
