The founders of any new government would more than likely be called domestic terrorists (see: Bundy Ranch). The ability to overthrow the government is completely relevant today and the 2nd amendment protects our right to do so.
This gives no reason what so ever for the need to carry a firearm. Own one yes, but to carry one is pointless.
Why not though? It's legal here in California. I can walk around town with a gun and not get in any trouble at all. It just can't be loaded. I think that's perfectly fine honestly. I'm sure that'll prevent people from pulling mass-shootings if more people carried guns around.
I'm surprised that is aloud in California... One of the more liberal states in the US. Here in Nevada, shootings rarely happen and our gun laws are pretty loose. We own an AR15 and it's never gotten up and committed a crime.

I'm surprised too. Funny too because you here a lot more shootings here in Cali where gun laws are probably the strictest in the country, lol.

I disagree, not 'everyone' should own a gun.

Cali has pretty strict laws. New york and Illinois (Chicago) have extremely strict gun laws, and Chicago has the highest crime rate lol.

California is like a communist nation they neuter there guns, like AR15s, I'm so sorry if you live there.

People just want something to blame. Guns are dangerous, this is true, but it's dangerous in the hands of idiots. There are great people who own guns and know how to properly use them and don't go on shooting rampages.
I just think it's dumb how people tend to blame the guns instead of the insanity of a person using it to kill or hurt someone.

Very well said. Why take away guns from the law abiding citizens?

Well, time to be " that " guy and receive hundreds of down votes for airing my opinion.
I'm in no ways " anti gun " but I do agree there should be a limit to gun control. Look at the amount on gun crime in America. The general crime, mass shooting, school shootings etc. That's what happens when guns are just as obtainable as cigarettes.
Now look at countries like England, France, etc. Nothing really happens here because of a strict gun control. So yeah, I'd rather live in a place with gun control where I know I won't get shot up than be " OMG DONT BAN GUNS WE NEED THEM " and have school being shot up.

Chicago has tons of shootings, and they also have the strictest gun laws. Please, tell me how CRIMINALS won't get guns illegally if they're banned or made useless?
