I just bought a new graphics card for my computer ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) and Im having trouble with it every time I try and install the graphics card my screen just goes black. I have tried to plug the HDMI into the graphics card that didn't work I also tried to plug it into the computer itself and that didn't work. I'm a noob to computer stuff like this so please help.

Are you positive that the gpu is securely put in the pci slot, and that the clip on the slot is in the closed position? Also, did you securely plug in the power connector to the card?

Make sure the graphics card is in all the way. Check your bios for your Initial display and make sure its on PCIe slot 1. Also, once you get everything set up you will want to make sure you have all of your drivers set up.

Yes you'll need to make sure you Power Supply inside your computer has a PCI-E power cable and they are usually 6 or 8 pin.
Edit: I don't think your Card will actually need that as it runs off the motherboard power from the PCI Express slot.
