I only eat things that bleed and have a soul.

If you don't like the way your meat is harvested, buy chickens from a local farm and take them to a slaughter house.
The chicken will have their head cut off quickly and won't be mechanically ripped apart while they're still alive.

I may sound like an ass for saying this but animals are here for human survival.
We need the nutrition from animals in order to live a healthy life.

You're right, you do sound like an ass.
How entitled does someone have to be to say that something else exists solely for the purpose of them eating it?

I get it if you're going to eat meat, I do too, but I would never say that a cow was put on this planet solely for it to be included in my burger.

So lets just think about something.

Think of the earth. Now think of the sun.
We live on Earth and depend on the sun for our survival.
To us and all living beings the sun is a dependency and which we need.

Now let's think of humans and animals.
Animals give us nutrition that is necessity for a healthy life.

Yes, we do need to find a better way to regulate and deliver the nutrients animals give us.
But, humans never will and never should stop eating meat from animals.

That doesn't mean that the Sun's sole purpose is to make it possible for human life to exist.
If animals have no purpose other than food for humans then why is your dog not in your fridge right now?

You said nothing about dependency in your original post, you talked about purpose.
Bringing up dependency was a straw man.

Yes, this video was disturbing and I'm pretty sure that it's the same video that my sisters watched as they slowly went on a week long vegan trip. I've never like to see an animal suffer, but you have to remember that we used to do this ourselves when the human civilization started.

No, I wouldn't. I go hunting to help feed the family and sometimes it is the same process. I shot a deer, it went down and it took us a good 30 minutes to get there. We got there and it was still alive.

What that video shows is nature on an assembly line per say. Look at nature, it's a lot worse. Do you honestly think that a chicken being strung up and having its neck slit is worse than a bear mauling a deer to death?

All in all, it's nature. Survival of the fittest. We have to feed our over populated human species so we do what we can. I think there are too many people here that would rather believe that their eggs and chicken breasts grow on trees and that chickens don't actually die or get farmed for them.

I'm not against you guys going vegetarian or vegan, it just means bacon might get a little cheaper for me. Just look at how it would be without the process of how we currently get our food.
