A Mustang IS NOT a first a car. You are just learning how to drive so odds are you will wreck your first car. Not only that, but insurance will be sky high. Look at the price to repair even simple things, things like a tail light.

And that's for a FACTORY light.

My truck (first vehicle) was 5k. If I where to do it again, I wouldn't have spent that much, I Would have bought a little beat up Ranger or Civic, something that just gets me from A to B. Just because you have X amount of money does not mean you need to spend it.

If you are dead set on getting a new car, get a Ford Fiesta, or Nissan Versa, you can pick those up for around 10k at local dealers.

Not a lot of people respect a kid who's car was bought by mommy and daddy either.

EDIT: If you can't even find it online, you aren't even looking. You don't tell us where you are from, so what I see in my local CL ad's won't help at all. Look in Craigslist, local dealerships (type in Ford dealerships in your area in Google), Carmax, etc. It's not that hard.

Is he really going to worry about someone not respecting him over his parents buying him a car?

for the first 2 cars i got i leased them, you pay less and in 2 years you dont have to worry about any damage on the car because it isnt yours you pay the depreciation value and you can buy the car at the end of the lease if you really like it.

I'm somebody who organizes Massive car meets in Wales, UK and no offence, this is the stupidest thing iv'e read all day. Who in their right mind buys a mustang for their first car?

Unless your parents are millionaires...

Get a smaller engine car, good on fuel, easy to repair, research common faults in that car and the company...

You're chances of wrecking your first car is high asf.

lmao this is exactly what i say when people say your first car shouldn't be a car worth over like 3k $ lmfao. Who cares if his car is nice and new and its his first? Who the hell wants to be riding in a beat up 200k miles car for their first? They obviously wanna have fun and not everyone's gonna crash lol. I can understand your point of it being a fast car but if he can handle it then whats the matter?

Exactly man. Its all jealous kids. Its one thing if its a $60,000 corvette or something, but its another if its like a 15-30k car. I bought mine with my own money. If they dont, so be it. Ive never come close to smashing mine and I was drifting in the damn rain this morning. The car handled like ass in it but I could control it. People are stupid man.
