You guys are talking about a kid here. What are the odds he is paying for this car instead of his parents? He might be lucky if he can afford gas, let alone insurance, repairs, maintenance, etc. Oh well, not my car, not my money, not my problem.

Well considering the mustang wont sound like a weed wacker... and its faster.. why would you want the shitty Mitsubishi. The Evos were discontinued for a reason. They couldnt even keep up with the WRX. Lmao. And the best part? Evos turbo charged. Mustangs all natural asp. baby. No turbo needed.

You can make any car not sound like a weed wacker by simply having the right muffler on it....
For a first time driver, top speed and acceleration shouldn't be the priority. Speed limits are speed limits, when you go above them, you get tickets. My buddy's 90's beat up Honda Accord can get up to 70 mph on the freeway just like the Mustang can.

Doesnt mean we still cant have fun at the track. I have fun on the roads too. Do I speed? No. Do I go outta town and and accelerate hard all over? Yes. Do I go to the truck with friends for fun? Yes. You can legally have fun in a fast car man.

Most people aren't going to pay to go to a track. They are going to be like these idiots:
Yes, you can have fun in a fast car, but as a new driver you should be more worried about learning how to drive the car instead of having fun. To add, you can also have fun in a vehicle that is 1/4 the price, and a little more beat up.
This may just be me, but my brother has a 2013 Mustang, I drive it once a week (He works out of state and asked me to drive it once a week to keep the fluids pumping), and my being 5'9, 250, I hate the Mustang. I'd rather jump up into my truck over trust falling into the Mustang. Not only that, but people always want to race the Mustang. When I get on your arse in the Mustang because you are going slow, you don't even notice me. When I do that in my big lifted F-350, you are moving.

OR maybe instead of buying a mustang as a first car, you buy something cheap which can have engine grades done to it. If you want to go fast, buy a 240sx. Overtime do some engine upgrades/tunes on it. You will enjoy it more and you will know a ton more about cars. I assume you don't know jack just because you came to a tech forum asking for help saying you wanted a mustang for a first car. smh. Good luck on whatever you get, i'm not trying to ruin your day.

Well the "shitty" Mitsubishi can actually go around corners and hold its value better. what planet are you from where the wrx is faster? And you're right the turbo is the best part it makes a car fun, no need for a prehistoric engine in a prehistoric car

Why buy something worth almost nothing and put money into it. Thats just stupid as hell. I wanna sell my vehicle for a good value when I want to get rid of it. Not turn it into a money pit. And I do know a good amount about vehicles. Am I a expert? No. No where close. Do I know how to keep it maintained and perform? Yes. What do you drive buddy? A civic?
