So basically I'm 18 stone at the moment at the age of 21, which too me is embarrassing, I have little to no self confidence because of this.

The best way to lose weight is to build self control, when you go to the store, don't impulse buy snacks at the counter, don't order sodas when eating out, and start reading the calories on the back of things. Build a total calorie diet for yourself and stick to it.
Have some cheat days from time to time, don't worry about dieting every single day. i used to be 330+ at 14 when we had a big family since my mother used to make bulk foods (big pots of spaghetti, fried foods etc) without any dividing, just throwing it on a big plate. now i'm sitting around 200 and still working on it. And one more tip that helped me out a ton is to not have no more all nighters, the more you stay up the more you get hungry and throw your whole calorie intake out of wack. If you can't and play a lot of games like i do, cut yourself off at a certain time and only drink water until you go to bed. Edit: and i can't stress this enough, water water and more water, always keep it next to you when you go out, if you get hungry down a big thing of it. |

And I mostly drink water but have a coffee here and there, should probably start making it black with no sugar etc. |

But they all have gym partners and I wouldn't want to tag along and be the third wheel, also feel like my self confidence would stop me entering a gym because i'd get judged? |

Your first task to losing weight is your food intake. Make sure you are eating healthy food and not over/under eating because under eating won't help you. Also drink a lot of water!
Once you start eating good you will notice changes in your body and how you feel physically and mentally. It will make you feel better about yourself and hopefully boost confidence and build motivation for yourself. You need to workout. It doesn't just happen over night from eating healthy. It's not easy but it is 100% worth it trust me. I'd say go 4-6 days a week when you can and make a schedule for yourself to go by. If you need any help with that you can PM me anytime Hope all goes well let me know if you have any other questions! |

Step 1 : Track everything you eat over the course of a week.
Step 2 : Take an average of total calories and minus that by 300 calories as a goal for each day. Step 3 : Weigh yourself after a week of eating in the 300 deficit if weight is lost do it again for another week if no weight loss increase the deficit by 100 addtional calories. Step 4 : Repeat step 3. If after 2 weeks no weight loss your either cheating yourself, or first average of calories wasn't accurate. To help boost of weight loss the calories your using in the deficit make them from carbohydrates. End of the day it comes to calories in vs calories out anyone else who says anything else is uneducated or wrong. Those steps are the most basic it gets to see if you can give yourself a goal and restriction and stick to it. Good luck with it pal however you approach it and any questions just message me I'll be happy to help. |
