Marvel’s Spider-Man Will Take About 20 Hours to Beat

4.2
Yesterday Insomniac Games’ Community Director James Stevenson took to Twitter to answer some questions regarding the studio’s highly anticipated upcoming game Marvel’s Spider-Man. When responding to a Twitter user about the game’s length, Stevenson replied “our average play tester took around 20 hours on default difficulty, but some spent a lot longer if they did a ton of side quests/activities.”

In this regard, it seems like Marvel’s Spider-Man is following the example set by other contemporary open-world games like The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild; the game offers a campaign that can be beat in a few dozen hours, however, it’s simultaneously filled with content that will make die-hard players want to stick around.

In addition to commenting on the game’s length, Stevenson also answered other questions about the game’s features. According to Stevenson, Marvel’s Spider-Man will feature a day one patch giving players access to accessibility features similar to God of War and Uncharted 4.

Responding to another Twitter user, Stevenson also gave his estimation on the game’s download size. While Stevenson was unsure about the exact size of Marvel’s Spider-Man, he stated that the game will be “45 GB minimum, probably a bit more + patch and stuff.”

With the release of the game just around the corner, there’s not much left that we don’t know about Marvel’s Spider-Man. With the game’s download size, day one patch details, and length uncovered, all that’s left to do is sit back and wait for the game to arrive.

Marvel’s Spider-Man will be released on the PlayStation 4 on September 7th, 2018.

Pretty accurate and that wasnt just the main story, was a bit dissapointed in the length and the lack of side quests was a shame, but the collectables were actually fun!

It'll take me a lot longer if it's 20 hours none stop. I have to take a break off of games sometimes, unless I'm really into it

Thats not to bad considering it takes 4 hours to complete Destiny 2 lmao.

20 hours isn't bad for a main story. In my opinion, I think to keep the content alive and the users happy they should add a bunch of side-activities to do within the world. I feel like adding in more side quests would be cool too. Wish I could buy it. :(

20 hours to beat isn't even as long as GTA.

Explains why a DLC is already releasing in October.

Sounds like it will be worth the buy. Can't wait to give it a try myself.
