Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Player Count Announced

4
Since the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, one question has been plaguing the community: how big will the game’s Blackout mode be? Now, thanks to an interview conducted by Gameinformer, we now have the answer. During the beta, 80 players will be able to drop into the giant map at one time, but that may not be the number during the full game.

Dan Bunting, one of the head’s of Treyarch, says that the original test of the mode was conducted with 100 players, which is the exact same number as other Battle Royale games like Fortnite and PUBG. The number was lowered, however, because they wanted to be sure that the gameplay was smooth and refined enough to where there wasn’t a drop when playing the mode.

In addition to the announcement of the player count, Gameinformer also released one of the first screenshots from the new mode. You can check it out at the beginning of the article.

Of course, the Black Ops 4 Blackout beta is set to be released next Monday on PlayStation 4, with Xbox One and PC players being able to get their hands on it starting September 14, 2018.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to be released on October 12, 2018, and will be available on all the aforementioned platforms.

Really couldn't care less about this. The gamemode is just a gimmick now and shouldn't be in a cod game.

I have no complaints. I won't complain during the beta. Optimism all the way to release.
