No Wii U price cut any time soon.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata made it abundantly clear that the Wii U will not be getting a price cut anytime soon. Iwata said Nintendo's "resolute stance" on selling the Wii U at a loss means a markdown is out of the question.

"With Wii U, we have taken a rather resolute stance in pricing it below its manufacturing cost, so we are not planning to perform a markdown," Iwata said. "I would like to make this point absolutely clear. We are putting our lessons from Nintendo 3DS to good use, as I have already publicly stated.

"However, given that it has now become clear that we have not yet fully communicated the value of our product, we will try to do so before the software lineup is enhanced and at the same time work to enrich the software lineup which could make consumers understand the appeal of Wii U."

Bought a Wii a couple of years ago, first few months were good, now I use it to set my water on it!

Calm down missy, the people that bought it are people that don't have friends with PS3's. They don't know that they will be hacked yet.

Starify I don't bother with Nintendo products. I barely played my Wii when I had it. They are just dust collectors in my house.


Hahaha couldn't agree more. The DS was the only product I ever really used by them, and even that is now a paper weight. Don't get me started on the Wii.

I agree, you play them at first but after a couple months they sit there, never touched.

Wii wasn't too bad, but other consoles are funner. Never will get the Wii U unless it is $10.
