GTA 5 delay: Rockstar dismisses conspiracy theories

Rockstar has debunked the "conspiracy theories" surrounding the recent Grand Theft Auto 5 delay.

While we do not know which theories Rockstar were referring to, we have the suspicion that it may have something to do with people thinking that GTA 5 may be releasing on Next-gen consoles.

But Rockstar insists that the only reason Grand Theft Auto 5 was delayed was to ensure the game meets customer expectations.

"To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they're all nonsense - literally the only reason we've delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be"

"For those of you asking about the official box art, that will be coming out a bit later as well."

It is a shame that they haven't directed their comments at anything specific. I look forward to seeing the box art for GTA 5.

ThePredaZor Make everybody wait longer then more people buy it, honestly after making a game for 5 years it's going to be good enough especially if making video games IS YOUR JOB. If they release it around CoD and maybe even Halo, then I say goodluck, but they won't get as much sales.


Do you know how long it takes to make a game..its not some simple "Drag and Drop" shit, Some games are actually in development for upwards of 8 years...GTA isn't that game but the more time they take to make it...the less people cry about bugs when its released

FrenzyRG I think the theories are about the gun shootings...This game must be released on next gen consoles aswell as on the todays. They worked so hard on this game and they are just going to put it on a older console...They must bring another one out like bogt did for gta iv but for the next gen ;0


But then they would have to remake the game? That takes alot more than 4 months

It's not coming out around either where do you get the idea that it will be coming out around the next halo? Its not a yearly thing like COD and I doubt it will get game f the year because this year the worst game out there "the walking dead" took game of the year and it sucked so I'm prettying convinced that people just pay a lot of money to get game of the year.


Im guessing you think that the walking dead sucked because it didnt have enough guns in it?

Halo doesn't release annually, unless their making a spin off like ODST which I actually wouldn't mind with all the disappointments of Halo 4.
