Report: Next Xbox to "kill" pre-owned, requires always on net connection

Sources claim to have word that the next-gen Xbox will require an always-on internet connection and will block the use of pre-owned games.

The source says that another source “with first hand experience” of the console adds that games will still be buyable, which are supplied on 50GB Blu-ray discs. It is understood that disc games will use an activation code.

So, no more going to the shops and buying cheap second-hand games? There has to be more people who think this is a bad idea by Microsoft.

An ex-worker of Microsoft said that Microsoft just built the Xbox to beat Sony's PS3, so IDK. They might just be in it for the $... :(


Sad to say, but it's true they are all about the $$$. Blocking pre-owned games IMO is just stupid. Really, really stupid.


I'm glad that non of this is confirmed by Microsoft yet, that these are just rumors. If this was true they would actually lose a lot of sales as well.
