Xbox One Requires Kinect to function. Watching You Sleep in 1080p?

The Xbox Kinect needs to always be functional for the console to work. All the consoles come with the Kinect, but if not connected to the Xbox One, the Xbox will not work at all. Almost everything you get to on the Xbox One will now be voice activated. "Xbox wants to watch you sleep."

This is so stupid. I have my TV and Xbox on a desk and I don't have much room in my room... So how am I suppose to go like 5 feet back to use it .----.
