Xbox One Requires Kinect to function. Watching You Sleep in 1080p?

The Xbox Kinect needs to always be functional for the console to work. All the consoles come with the Kinect, but if not connected to the Xbox One, the Xbox will not work at all. Almost everything you get to on the Xbox One will now be voice activated. "Xbox wants to watch you sleep."

That is so stupid. If I go over to a friends house and bring my Xbox the Kinect sensor is just a huge hazard that might break.

I have a small room and couldnt use Kinect even if i cleared as much space as possible so i guess its just voice control for me.
