Battlefield 4 will sell 14M, can “coexist successfully” with CoD

Battlefield 4 will sell 14 million units, according to Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia, but notes that both it and Call of Duty: Ghosts can “coexist successfully” in the market even with both hitting retail within a week of each other.

In the note, Bhatia predicted one-third of all Battlefield 4 sales would come through PC, but that only 10% of Call of Duty: Ghosts sales would be through PC.

Sounds about right.

Bhatia said Grand Theft Auto 5′s release is far enough ahead of both titles which would “limit overlap,” and he feels Skylanders will remain the market leader in the toys-to-life genre – even with Disney Infinity looming.

RaheemSterling_31 Played Battlefield 3 and really enjoyed it! Probably because i didn't have to worry about winning and k/d unlike on CoD's


Winning games is a much larger factor in battlefield than in call of duty..


To be honest, I've never worried about k/d or anything like that on CoD. I've only ever bothered with just enjoying the game in the way that I wanted to.

It won't, I think BattleField 4 will outsell CoD this year. BF4 looks great!


I think it will be close. COD has got the massive market of every 12 year old on the planet.. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy COD, but it's die hard fan base consists mostly of 12 year olds.

I've been sick with CoD since Black Ops 1. I still got the new games but that was for the campaign and achievements. I hardly touched the multi-player. I like Battlefield 3 way better anyways.


Same here, I was done with COD around BO1 and MW3


BO1 turned me off COD, then MW3 I thought was just a bad game, but I think BO2 is a decent enough game, and I've got higher hopes for Ghosts!

Battlefield definitely looks better than CoD. I really hope they take CoD out of the spotlight and let other games take it.
