Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer reveal in mid-August

Infinity Ward plans to reveal the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Ghosts in August.

Executive producer Mark Rubin posted the following on Twitter, later confirming that the reveal will occur in the "middle" of the month, suggesting it'll be on show at Gamescom, which kicks off on the 21st.

"Sorry I haven't been on twitter much lately. We are in our death march push to finish game. Lots left to do. Looking forward to MP in august"

Earlier this month, publisher Activision announced pre-order bonus Call of Duty Ghosts DLC in the form of a multiplayer map called Free Fall. It will mark the introduction of "dynamic map events" to the series, which see battlegrounds undergo landscape-altering events during matches. Call of Duty Ghosts DLC will launch first on Xbox.

Also this month, Infinity Ward studio community coordinator Candice Capen said Ghosts will "have a cooperative mode of sort". It was previously rumoured that Infinity Ward had dropped the Modern Warfare series' Spec Ops mode in favour of a new co-op game type.

Activision has confirmed a Call of Duty: Ghosts release date of November 5 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The game will also be a launch title for Xbox One and PS4.

At first I was excited for Ghosts, now I couldn't be less interested. Other companies have simply marketed their games better this year. Battlefield 4 showed MP and that's got me so excited. GTA V hasn't, but that's more of a single player game anyway.

Who cares, how is this news? The same manipulating crap is every year at the same exact time, so predictable. OHHHH GUESS WHAT EVERYONE A NEW COD IS RELEASING THIS F-ING NOVEMBER SURPRISE SURPRISE BEOTCHEZ!

HA! You guys actually believe this is something new. Have fun getting spawn trapped while i'm jumping from helicopters and building fighting with 64 people.

" we are in our death march push to finish the game" Ha!. We all know the game won't be finished until the next game is released, 12 patches later. I'll only buy this if I have a decent amount of friends playing it as usual.
