Assassin's Creed 4 trailer showcases next-gen improvements

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

The latest trailer shows off some of the technological advancements made in the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC versions of Black Flag, including an impressive sea engine, a fully dynamic weather engine, global illumination lighting technology, the dynamic boarding navmesh and dynamic 3D foliage.

Black Flag is scheduled for release on October 29 in North America and on November 1 across Europe on PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The PS4 and Xbox One editions were recently confirmed as day-one titles for those consoles, with Xbox One confirmed for November and PS4 for 'holiday 2013'.

Dr-J I can't wait for AC4, i'll get it for 360 and one. The water looks like the best thing imo lol

Why would you get it for both? The only game I'm getting is GTA IV, all other games will be bought on the next gen consoles.

Because I want too? LOL. And you get 2x achievements.
I'm not getting gta V.

The preview did nothing for me or inspire me to buy it at all. Game play still looked the same old stuff with added lighting and so what an ocean that looks more realistic.

If the combat was enhanced and the animation of damage from battle, cuts, hits, striking vital organs, breaking bones etc were added then it would enhance the game.

Surrounding.....blah what ever. There are only so many times you can go wow looks at the rain.....again another drop of water or puddle that ripples.

Personally with all the games I would have to see the comparison of both 360 next to Xbox one to see if its worth the hassle.
