Microsoft builds giant Xbox One console in Vancouver
The fan site Xbox One In Canada first reported on the huge structure, which is 40 feet long and 20 feet wide. If you are in Vancouver, you can head over to the intersection of Nelson and Seymour to see it for yourself. However, the oversized Xbox One has not been placed there just to sit and look a bit like the Monolith in 2001. The official Xbox Canada Facebook page says that people can "pledge" their Xbox Live gamertag at the physical location, online at Xbox.ca/OneSource or via Xbox Live. Each pledge will cause the huge box to get closer to an unstated goal that when reached will cause the large Xbox One to open up with a mystery reward.
Obviously, this is a cool way to promote the launch of the Xbox One on November 22nd in Canada. The huge prop will apparently be making a tour of other Canadian cities but dates and specific locations have yet to be announced.

My prediction is that Microsoft will use this as a stage, the way it's angled in the parking lot makes me think that there will be room for a large crowd in front (minus all the cars that will be prevented from parking there that day).

OmittingCoderTechnology I wish instead of spending money on promotions like they invested it into making the consumers console better. Because of the lack of power the system seem to have i am going to cancel my pre-order that i have had since June.
Since I'm not getting either console I'll throw my opinion out without the fear of being called a fanboy. Anyway if you don't like a console for the lack of power then that is hilarious. If you want a ton of power and awesomeness get a computer lol.
I have a computer (just been playing bf4), i just like consoles better when playing shooters. I could just about stand paying 80 pounds more for kinect, fifa 14 and a load more features i couldn't care less about but seeing this power difference has made me sway ps4's way. I'm not going to pre-order either now, i'm going to wait and see.

HarmfulMushroomKatsumiHarmfulMushroom Wonder what the gift could be..
I really wouldn't be surprised if there where multiple Xbox Ones inside the large Xbox One. I'm legitimately interested in what the mystery reward is
True. That would be pretty awesome if so.
It is. There's a bunch of x1s setup inside

They probably started to build it in the car park, then when it got very big.
They forgot it was in the car park, it's now blocking 12 parking spaces and that red car in the corner is screwed.
Also, what happens if it rains? Ruined. GG Microsoft. :)
