PlayStation Support offers advice for 'blinking blue light PS4 issues'
Instead, the post suggests issues may stem from TV compatibility alongside potential issues with the PS4 power supply, hard drive or "other PS4 hardware." The frequency of these issues was not confirmed in the post.
To troubleshoot the system, PlayStation Support suggests performing a hard reset, checking your hard drive connection, booting the PS4 in Safe Mode and checking the firmware of your television. If none of the above work and you need to contact Sony for further assistance, the company suggests using live chat as opposed to calling in.

Katsumi-CP How about you just not make a console that has major faults within 48 hours of release?
Well that is a really hard thing to do.. issues like this are inevitable when a console launches for the first time
Any electronics have some sort of % malfunction on release day. I've never seen a product that has never had a problem. I would be annoying though if you were one of those individuals experiencing it though.

Wow it's a good thing I decided to wait before buying a next gen console... And yeah looks like the ps4 has it's fair share of problems but When the Xbox one isn't out yet and if it's anything like the 360 realese when people were reporting it catching on fire and getting rrod it possible that this time it will catch fire and blow up lol

LaserShowyour definitely a fanboy based on ur comment about microsoft bieng affraid of rod lmao, they been past that point since 2006 and not one word came out my mouth saying microsoft will have a flawless release i just said no consumer SHOULD HAVE TO OPEN THEIR DAMM CONSOLE TO FIX IT, only issues consumers should face is software wise at launchJTxSyChO This is my point you have a console just releashed and you require consumers to mess around with it to get it to work. no offense this launch suck, and no one reply well all technology that way, no the only thing that should be an issues at launch is software wise. Dont even mention xbox 360 rrod because people were at least able to game for a week before their console were damaged
You act like this is as bad as RROD. Mine works perfectly, and so do a lot of other peoples. There is always going to be defects. You act like the XBone will have a flawless launch, but it won't. It won't be as bad as the RROD was, but it will happen. It's likely to be worse than the PS4 failure rate; it's been rushed more than the PS4 was.

I think it's stupid how as a consumer you can't just take the console out of the box and plug in and play without having to open your console which has been pieced and screwed together, just to get it to work.
I would have let it pass if it was a software issue but having to open the console and fiddle with the insides is way to risky for customer advice. I don't think it could be any worse. First the PSN outage, now a lot of consoles are broken which can only be fixed by opning it on the inside.
Another thing; Wouldn't this void your warranty, by opening the console and removing the parts?

Incorrect. If you're saying Xbox One has been rushed then you haven't done your research. They've both been on the table for many years. Sure, PS4 has had quite a bad launch with a lot of consoles with no diagnosis yet, but Xbox one will probably have some issues too. Nothing near as bad as RROD, but there'll be something.
