Destiny launches worldwide on September 9, 2014

Bungie has announced its next game, Destiny, will launch worldwide for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 on September 9. The game will be published by Activision.

"Destiny has always represented a new beginning for our team. It was born from brave possibilities," the announcement post on Bungie's site reads. "We dreamed of a renewed and independent Bungie. We found partners willing to bet big on some crazy new ideas with us."

Destiny is Bungie's "mythic science fiction" open world multiplayer shooter first revealed last November. A beta for Destiny, which pre-orders will get first crack at, kicks off first on PlayStation platforms in the summer of 2014.

This looks like its going to be an amazing game. Though I still havent figured out why the trailer or one of them atleast had the master chief. Hmm. Maybe I am confusing myself. Nevertheless this is a game I will be getting

Kurthy353 I will never fully understand why these companies refuse to release before summer break. I understand that the game may not be fully finished, but there never is a decent game released before summer break and it is very irritating.

More mouth to mouth promotion. Kids are gunna make fun of other kids for not having this game. They can't do that if they don't see them for three months.

Was really looking forward to a Spring 2014 release like previously mentioned, but knowing Bungie it's going to be an even more kickass game now.
