PS4 sold 66% more units than Xbox One last month – Pachter

PlayStation 4 is significantly outselling Xbox One, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter said in a recent note to investors.

As reported by MCV, Pachter estimates the PS4 sold 1.25 million units in the US during the month of November, while the Xbox One sold 750,000 – putting the PS4 in front by 66% more unit sales.

Before you sound the victory bell, remember the PS4 launched on November 15, giving it 15 says on sale during the month, while the Xbox One launched on November 22, leaving it just eight days.

Pachter’s estimates, which we’ll know the accuracy of once the November NPD report releases, suggest sales of new consoles have come at a cost to existing hardware. The analyst believes the PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360′s hardware sales have fallen 28%, 65% and 44% year-on-year respectively.

Pachter has always been a strong believer in Microsoft but has warned the platform holder must drop the price on the Xbox One or PS4 will “win” this generation.

You must not know. You can buid a PC better than PS4 & XB1 for around 450$. With that it is free online(other than internet charges). PC is better and there is no doubt about it. The funny thing is I own a PS4 and I know this.


every one know that PCs are better and always will be, But its just to much of a pain to have one and even a bigger pain to build one. Thats my opinion tho. What do you guys think ?


I like having access to everything I want in gaming and access to all the TV shows and movies I could ever want in ONE machine...so I built an epic PC.

sorta, but the xbox is more technically advanced meaning it will probably be able to hold it's own better then ps4 in the upcoming years. That being said, currently they are virtually the same machine with a different OS.

Let him have it. the only reason i switched from PS3 to xbox is because of party chat, other than that PS3 had the better games and gaming experience. I never really liked the OG xbox and I'm not a big fan of the xbox 360. but xbox 360 was so good last gen that people are buying a xbox one and expecting the same thing. Xbox 360 was only good because the PS3 sucked. now that the PS4 is doing well and i mean very well some people are switching over and others are still close minded from what happened to sony last gen and are expecting the same thing.

How is this even a fair comparison, the ps4 was out an extra week in November. These people really need to wait for actual proof of how much they both sold in the same amount of time. Really need to stop comparing 2 weeks worth to a days or weeks worth of the other.

OfficialLeon Lol it being 100$ cheaper has nothing to do with it i had 600$ when i picked up mine i could've bought a Xbox one but i don't want it i personally agree with my friends its trash.


The Xbox ONE is a better machine with more capabilities. So far, the PS4 has been plagued with network issues and suspected compromised accounts. If your friends all got it and that made you want to get it, that's a different story.


I'm getting both soon xbox of quantum break, titan fall, Halo 5. but its not that great i don't watch tv i literally don't even have cable. What capabilities make it the better machine? and don't mention TV because thats pretty much rendered useless. PSN is revamped and the network issues must be only affecting foreigners because US isn't having issues. sony is not a software company so for them to come this far and still end up on top is amazing. PS4 is generally better for gaming thats why i want it because its a gaming console not a entertainment system that i don't want.
