Minecraft in development for Wii U – rumour

Minecraft is already a voxel pandemic, but rumblings from the cube underworld suggest that a Wii U edition is currently in the works.


Nintendo Enthusiast claims its sources have confirmed the game’s development, and claims that the ‘developer’ – most likely Dundee’s 4J Studios – is in possession of Wii U dev kits now.

The project is said to be in development alongside PS4 and Xbox One editions, and that all three will launch summer, 2014. On Nintendo’s format, the Wii U GamePad is said to be a big focus.

Treat his as rumour for now.

It's not a bad console like many people say. It just has a rather limited collection of games at this point in time

They never started the development it was just a rumor.

I sorta think that they are milking minecraft for every penny they can get. Heres a thought mojang with all that money you are making hire more staff to help make the updates faster

MrLane mmmm, well even if it was available i don't think they would produce a large amount of revenue from that console.


They probably would produce a substantial amount that would keep them going.


I could see that happening. While it wont generate a huge amount of income i could see a profit being turned.


Obviously they will make profit...It doesn't cost them anything to port it over..


Well you need to take into account the costs associated with developing and releasing a game for the Wii U. It isn't what you could call 'cost free'
