Next-gen versions reportedly listed on Bethesda's website, imminent announcement also teased

Bethesda may be planning to release The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Xbox One and PS4

OnlySP captured a screenshot of Bethesda's Skyrim website showing next-gen versions of the game listed alongside the existing Xbox 360, PS3 and PC editions.

It's unclear if the listing, which has since been removed, was an error or an inadvertent early reveal, but we've contacted Bethesda for clarification.

Adding fuel to the fire, a number of European Reddit users have reported receiving an email from Bethesda teasing a "very special announcement" this Sunday, January 12.

Skyrim launched in November 2011 and went on to win multiple Game of the Year awards. In June 2013, Bethesda released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition. The product features the main game as well as DLC packs Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn.

Two months prior to the release of Legendary Edition, Bethesda said the Skyrim development had moved on to its next project after more than 16 months of post-release support for the title.

I was looking forward to seeing the graphics for skyrim on Next gen, I guess that isn't happening.


Well if you want to see some awesome graphics you could always play it on the PC


Not everyone has super computers to be able to run it with max settings and to have mods which improve the graphics drastically


True that. You could get a PC that could run Skyrim on ultra at 30fps for around the $600 mark though, the same as a current generation console really


Graphics aren't all I care about, I'm not sure about others, but I prefer consoles xD


im not a pc gamer as everyone i know plays console but if i was graphics would be one of my main i would focus on

Oh my, they would be amazing. I played Skyrim on PC at Ultra settings and it looked spectacular.


Then im sure for you playing Skyrim on Xbox one at 720p would feel like an arcade version compared to playing it on pc on ultra! :p why would Bethesda bother re-releasing it on xbox one? Thats just copying and pasting for money if you ask me

Sure does sound like a Cash Cow plan. But they would earn MORE MONEY if they actually updated it and added more stuff to do.
