New Nintendo eShop releases: Unepic, Castlevania 2, F1 Race Stars

4.7
Things are still a bit slooooooow as far as new eShop content goes - that headline covers all of this week's new releases - but hey, let's pick apart the bones.

Unepic has been around since 2011, but today marks its debut on Wii U. It's a platformer with RPG elements, evoking classic D&D and NES-style gameplay - or, in the words of Nintendo's own blurb, "Unepic is a mixture of platform game, role game and joke that takes place in a huge castle of medieval fantasy. It is set in the eighty's style, but completed with the most actual features."

Ahem. As for F1 Race Stars Powered Up Edition, the Wii U edition of Codies' cutesy karter adds four tracks, nine accessory packs, and motion and tilt controls for a GamePad steering wheel. Also, there's Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest to keep the Virtual Console ticking along.

Lastly but not leastly, Etrian Odyssey Untold is half-off at $20 until January 27.

Katsumi I may pick up Castlevania if possible, it looks like a pretty good game from what i have seen

It looks okay, but looks like it will get boring quite fast.

I agree, looks almost too repetitive to be a good game. Probably will be fun for like an hour at a time or until you get stuck and that's just the type of game that will get you annoyed...

Meds This is a really great game my friend still plays one

The games really do look good but they're kinda copying Microsoft with games with gold

If they are copying Xbox, than so is PlayStation with their free games, and Steam, with their occasional free game(s).

It's the new thing I guess lol

Exactly, everyone's doing it, and it's a great way to gain more people in their community.
