PS4 Users Suffering with Display Issues

A new error for the PlayStation 4 has cropped up. Users are apparently suffering from an issue which results in no audio, the controller not working and an odd grid-like display appearing on-screen.

Switching to safe mode does nothing apparently and occurs as soon as the console is turned on. Other users, especially on GAF, have been facing a similar issue ranging from games like Battlefield 4 (and no, it’s nothing like the earlier CE-34878-0 error which affected the multiplayer), Killzone: Shadow Fall and Assassin’s Creed 4. It’s not as strong as the above picture, but still very noticeable. You can check them below.

The HDMI cable isn’t the problem this time around – which resulted in some display problems in the beginning for the PlayStation 4. It looks to be more of a GPU issue this time around or simply a firmware glitch. Who’s to say? As it stands, the best advice that has been offered as of now is to simply “Call Sony”.

Yeah. Just because some PS4's are having issues doesn't make the xbox better. They are both good systems.

It just sucks who ever is having this problem.

Sony has had quite a lot of problems, but that is expected with a new console.

Every new console has mistakes, thats why there, there to fix them. No new console will ever be perfect on release.

this is so true but we shouldnt have to they spend all this time making them etc they should try harder sometimes i feel they just get away with it.

I dont feel its right to sell a console that isnt all the way ready for a higher price then when it gets lower price its a better console.

Which is why the xbox is at 500.. Quality over quantity my friends.

iburnleyJTAG i have both consoles, the ps4 has never had any issues at all while the xbox one has only ever kicked me out of one game and that happened at weekend playing ghosts... other than that its pretty ok for me on both xbox and playstation..... hopefully not having day one editions of either console the mistakes or errors wont happen

Ghost is a **** game, it's doing you a favor by kicking you out.

Listen, I'm 100% not trying to be a fanboy here, but despite all the server issues battlefield 4 is SUPPOSED to have, I have encountered no problems whatsoever. and I've been fiending that game for the past month

Sony has had quite a lot of problems, but that is expected with a new console.

Every new console has mistakes, thats why there, there to fix them. No new console will ever be perfect on release.

The first part of your post literally made 0 sense. Nothing is ever perfect upon release, but the PS4 has had far more issues than the Xbox ONE now.

This may or may not be true.

Xbox hasnt had any Major problems effecting gameplay has it? i have never seen something like this though. screen crop really why you troll?

xbox one is a mess right now.

-console slows down when loading multiple apps.
-console is slow when two profiles are signed in.
-kinect is very glitchy.
-the xbox will boot you from a game and you'll be at the home screen again. or as i simply like to say "crashing".

these are the problems i've had though. i'm sure there are more though.

i've got the same exact issues with my XB1 besides the glitchy kinect
