The last time Netflix intended to up their price scaled was back in 2011 when they infamously split their Streaming and DVD rental services into standalone offerings. It has been gleaned from a Netflix quarterly financial report that the company is possibly going to implement a one or two dollar increase for new streaming only members; the old pricing is said to remain in effect for existing customers for a "generous time period." This increase in fee according to Netflix is needed in order to better allow them to acquire more content to increase the overall value of their landscape of media offerings.
This is good, and is bad. The fact is, people obviously don't wanna spend more money, than what they have too. But, it's also good, because now, they'll be able to get more content.
Fair enough some people won't like this. But it's making it a lot better with new content so i think this is a small contribution that wouldn't harm anyone.
