Netflix due to increase price for new members

The last time Netflix intended to up their price scaled was back in 2011 when they infamously split their Streaming and DVD rental services into standalone offerings. It has been gleaned from a Netflix quarterly financial report that the company is possibly going to implement a one or two dollar increase for new streaming only members; the old pricing is said to remain in effect for existing customers for a "generous time period." This increase in fee according to Netflix is needed in order to better allow them to acquire more content to increase the overall value of their landscape of media offerings.

This will be a stupid idea if Netflix does not improve there desire to have more new shows and movie for instant streaming.

Dylan- I found the article on this last night on Google news, it doesn't surprise me and quite frankly Netflix needs to be up to date on at least TV shows.


If this is what Netflix has to do in order to gain more up to date shows and movies, then it is okay in my book. A dollar or two isn't bad for a full month of tv.

Even if the price goes up a few dollars I think a majority of Netflix users will get their moneys worth.

Thankfully I use someones Netflix already. A dollar or two isn't that much though if you're only streaming movies/shows.
