Next gen Minecraft will feature bigger but not infinite worlds

While many had hoped due to the "increased capabilities" of next gen consoles that they would indeed be able to furnish infinite Minecraft worlds like the PC iteration but it was not fate. 4J Studios has assured us that the PS4/Xbox One versions of the game will be "bigger" than current gen renditions of the game; this restriction has been blamed on the limit of size allowed when regarding save files on the respective consoles. The PS3 version of Minecraft is slated for release on March 14th while the next gen editions are expected to arrive in either "Q2/Q3" of this year.

I-DA-KING Hopefully its thousands of blocks out and not like only an extra 100 that they can go out


Yea they say bigger, but really, how much bigger. Because an extra 100 isn't as far as you think it is like 5-10 seconds of travels time running.
If funny how the new systems wud do infinite but shitty rigs will lol :D

I'm not a fan of infinite world, I always spend way to much time trying to find the perfect spot, the limited map sizes keeps me from wandering for hours.

This was one of the things people were really hoping for, hope this doesn't hurt their sales too awful much.

Actually still pretty excited for next gen Minecraft.

Is there any gameplay of the next gen MC?
TBH, I don't think there was any trouble with the current gen map size.

It would be a little annoying when you reached the corner/side of a map, but it wasn't too bad.

The current console sized world is rather small but unless you invest a lot of time in one world you shouldn't have a problem running out of resources.
