Next gen Minecraft will feature bigger but not infinite worlds
4.5
While many had hoped due to the "increased capabilities" of next gen consoles that they would indeed be able to furnish infinite Minecraft worlds like the PC iteration but it was not fate. 4J Studios has assured us that the PS4/Xbox One versions of the game will be "bigger" than current gen renditions of the game; this restriction has been blamed on the limit of size allowed when regarding save files on the respective consoles. The PS3 version of Minecraft is slated for release on March 14th while the next gen editions are expected to arrive in either "Q2/Q3" of this year.
I have been losing hope for 4J studios more and more, first of all the xbox 360 was completely capable of rendering significantly larger worlds and the next gen consoles are about as powerful as average gaming PC's which can render infinite worlds. They really don't know how to grasp the full power of the consoles if they can't produce infinite worlds.. And they are blaming it on save sizes I have created ridiculously large worlds that take months to make and the are roughly 200MB/save which isn't very significant.
