limited Xbox Live service, PlayStation Network still down

Microsoft has restored a limited service to Xbox Live users after the online gaming platform was allegedly taken down by hackers.

A group named Lizard Squad has claimed responsibility for the disruption, which is still affecting Sony's Playstation Networks.

The outages come just over a week after threats by hackers forced Sony to cancel public screenings of a satirical film.

Both companies expected heavy use as people who received Microsoft Xboxes or Sony PlayStations on Christmas Day tried to hook up.

Honestly, if they waited til Christmas for the consoles then they can wait another day.
It's not like they're constantly taking down the services.

This really sucks for all the people out there who just got their games. It also really sucks for us who are missing out on event's like the 2XP Weekend on Advanced warfare or the GTA V special gear.

I honestly have had minimal problems with my Xbox live, but i'm still on 360.
PS3 hasn't connected at all past few days though..
