No single-player campaign mode for Black Ops 3 on PS3 and Xbox 360

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will only have multiplayer and zombie mode on PS3 and Xbox 360.

The announcement popped up on the Call of Duty community blog, and states that, “The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player coop Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware.”

So if you pick up Black Ops 3 on PS3 or Xbox 360, you’ll only be able to play the multiplayer mode and the zombies mode.

The last gen versions will also be lacking in “features built to leverage the next generation hardware like the new Weapon Paint Shop and the new suite of eSports tools [which] will only be available on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.”

With that in mind, the RRP for the game on older platforms is $49.99 and will include a “bonus download for the original Call of Duty: Black Ops (bonus download availability may vary by region)”.

I don’t know that many CoD players care that much about the campaign, so is the absence of it something that they’ll be upset about? Should we all have switched over to this gen already anyway, almost two years into this console cycle? Let us know what you think about this move in the comments below.

That's what people who still use old gen hardware deserve. Get with the times and get a machine that can play these games at beautiful resolution and frame rate. Even it is just an Xbox One or PS4. But the 360 is so outdated it's actually funny.

Not everybody is able is able to afford to upgrade to a current gen console and are stuck with last gen, it's not their fault.

i left consoles a while back but you are talking about it like its a weak piece of shit that cant handle it, it can, its just the devs are moving forward to do less work on other platforms to release games quicker, and no they don't "deserve it", that childish and ignorant.

It will be rubbish for people with old consoles, but I am glad they are doing this. The more people that come over to the most recent gen consoles, or even migrate to PC, the more developers can focus on utilising the better hardware properly and ship a better, more polished product for the new gen consoles and PC.

Not many people played it for the campaign and the ones that did were probably disappointed .
