A trusted tipster sent us this image, which appears to reveal that Kmart is knocking $20 off the usual $200 price of the Wii this week. According to the fine print in the image (full size), the deal runs from today through August 2. At the time of this writing, both the white and black Wii bundles on Kmart's website were still listed at $200, so it's unclear if this is an in-store only ...read more

In a recent interview with Wired, 3DS Producer Hideki Konno outlined a few of the under-hyped features of the 3DS. Konno thinks players will, in the near future, see 3DS titles that focus on Wii MotionPlus-style controls instead of the system’s titular 3D graphics. Best throw those hopes for a 2010 Nintendo 3DS launch that rumor earlier in the week gave right out the window; while demoing the new Donkey Kong on Jimmy Fallon last night (video below), Nintendo of America boss man Reggie Fils-Aime gave the 3D-enabled handheld a 2011 launch window. The earlier rumor originated from a UK retail source and Fallon is a US show, granted, but it seems unlikely ...read more

We rarely, if ever, write rebuttals to stories posted on the esteemed, list-friendly publication known as Time, but we've got more than a few bones to pick with its recently posted "50 Worst Inventions" list. Around every turn, the list seems to get it wrong. For instance: FarmVille? There are 70 million people who'd disagree with that one. And Virtual Boy? The world's first fully-3D game ...read more
