A few years back developer Chris Hecker hit the headlines by shouting out from the roof-tops the "Wii is a piece of SH*T" (although it wasn't all bad). Anyhow, the year is now 2010 and the dev reportedly stands by his original quote. So our question to you... is the Wii really a piece of sh*t? Has your opinion changed for better or worse?

This is not the line for Halo: Reach's Japanese launch. In fact, it's just a minuscule sampling of the reported 2.6-million-and-then-some strong who picked up Pokémon Black and White in Japan last weekend. The EA blog had a chat with Criterion's Matt Webster the other day, and he says that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit will be about 'four times bigger' than Criterion's last big racing hit, Burnout Paradise. We've heard very little about Nintendo's next home console, although Sakamoto has revealed a bit. According to him, it will be so good that it will essentially make your jaw drop. He added that Nintendo never does what its rivals are doing and always looks to create unique experiences. With this in mind, one would hope that the Wii 2 is far more than just a Blu-ray add-on.

With just about a month away from the expected Sept. 29 price and release date reveal for the 3DS, Nintendo is rolling out a price drop on the soon-to-be elder DSi and DSi XL models. Here’s the interesting part, though – the Wii reached the 30 million milestone faster than any other console in videogame history.
