Can my school do this?
So I know that if I use my phone in school it can get confiscated but can my school do this?

Now after school when I leave the school the teachers at my school still ask me to put away my phone or they will confiscate it. Can they do that? I'm literally out of the school gate. It not like they own the whole road.

Once when I was outside of the school. The school day was over and someone in my year was wearing a snapback and the teacher confiscated it even though the pupil was outside of the school and was going home.

Your school can't legally do this, if it was inside the school or in the area that the school owns then yes they can but if they tell you to put your phone away after you're off school property then see what happens. If they try and confiscate it yell "I NEED AN ADULT, I NEED AN ADULT!" That should get them away

Well at my school once you are out of the school gate they have no control over you Phone, hats etc...

but im not sure, i wouldn't think they can do that since how school is out and they are outside of the gates, cause if you think about it, any pedestrian could walk by with their phone out and have a snapback on and the school cant do anything about it

At my school, we're not allowed to have any electronics. Phones, tablets, etc. are all not allowed. During class, teachers check your lockers for electronics. If they find one, you can be sent to detention. It sucks.

My school's phone policy is if you get it taken up, you have to pay $15 dollars to get it back.

I haven't really experienced this in my school, because I don't think they're allowed to do that. But something that annoys me is that on the last day of term before when school has finished, loads of people go to the local park because it's really big, and a load of the senior teaches go there to "check" on you.

You should bring it up with your parents, because i'm sure they are not allowed to do this.

Even if you are outside the gate if you are on school campus then they can do it.

They cant do that! In my school they let us use our phones out side like at break and lunch and after school, even if we're not outside the school gate. So I don't know what's their problem.
