Phil Spencer talks about sharing games with non Family Members

4.3
Microsoft's Phil Spencer interviewed with companies and talked about the game sharing on Xbox One. He stated that you can share games with people other than your family, but there are some twists in it. Microsoft previously released that only ten family members can have access to your game library. None of them have to be from your real life family though.

Spencer states that he does believe people will create family groups with people that aren't associated with their family at all. He believes this does ease some of the tension people had with the game sharing, but it has not put out the flames yet.

I figured this might help some...
"Medhi also clarified the situation regarding the sharing of your Xbox One game library with up to ten "family members", despite not being able to give all the details at this stage. According to him, a "family member" doesn't actually have to live in your house - they could be 3,000 miles away - and you'll be able to link/add Xbox Live accounts to access your shared game library, although only one person can play a copy of a shared game at the same time."

HDITeRRoRiZeI Yes you can share games to friends and family.
To share a game with a friend, they need to be on your friends list for at least 30 days and the game cant only be lent out once.Note I think this is different for family members. They can use your games for an unlimited amount of time.

I do believe that the cloud can only allow one person to stream from each game at a time, because it costs Microsoft money (I think), and of course, doesnt want to be charged a lot of money through the cloud etc.

That's If You Want To Sell It I Thought.

Flawn77 So basically you can share any game you buy with the 10 selected people no matter where they live. That's pretty interesting. However, I read that only one person can play at a time so, what do you do if they are playing your game when you want to play it? Kick them off?

Hopefully it will have some sort of king system, so if the person who bought it wants to play it, they can do so whenever they want and probably boot the other person (Or give them a 10 minute time limit or something) This is a good system because then I can add my friends to the "Family" and they can share my games, and vice versa!

Actually corrected.... only 2 people can play at a time on the same game and in my opinion when you share a game as a disc, you as the owner never have access to it until you get it back so that fact that 2 people can play the same game at the same time bought by one person in opinion is badass!

Are you sure that has actually been confirmed, I've been pretty anal about news from MicroSoft recently and I've only heard that it's one member?

Unless he has an actual source then I don't believe a word of it, if it is true then cool I guess but MS is burried to deep with me after that buul crap with Don Mattrick.

I really don't mind at all if I can't share my games. Doesn't really bother me.
