Xbox One Controller Drivers For Windows PC Coming “Very Soon”

PC users more comfortable with the dual-analog controller for their gaming needs can look forward to some interesting news from Microsoft ‘very soon.’

Windows PC drivers for the Xbox One’s controller are coming “Soon. Very Soon.” said Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb in a response to this NeoGAF post.

Xbox One controller compatibility for PC was initially touted last year for release some time in 2014. Currently, many PC users are settling on the Xbox 360 controller as their weapon of choice, but those looking to upgrade to Microsoft’s newest input device with ‘over 40 improvements‘ can look forward to the incoming news.

The upcoming drivers will allow all existing Xbox One controllers to plug into a PC via USB. Stay tuned for more news soon!

Alexyy Should of been done when they released the Xbox one.

I prefer keyboard and mouse anyway.


Some games you need the controller like cod i really i need it i suck with the keyboard.


Every FPS is better with a keyboard and mouse...


I understand your main point here but I can guarantee there are better controller players than a hell of a lot of K&M players... A mouse is better when changing how you aim a lot, like slightly changing your sights for that snipe whilst still being able to move entirely across the screen just as easily whereas a controller will have a harder time due to the actual thumbstick movement restriction.

Either way, just play with what you feel is easier.


Try using a controller on counter-strike. Have fun dying 40 times before getting a kill.

I love using a keyboard and mouse over a controller every day of the week. Just seems so much easier to me.

Be honest COD on PC isn't good anyways so it doesn't really matter which you use.
