Destiny Had Over 4 Million Players During its Beta

The Destiny beta was a beast, with Activision announcing today that 4,638,937 players participated in the early access stress test of the game launching September 9.

"Hosting a beta at this scale is an incredible feat, so we're thrilled to see the phenomenal response. But the beta is just a taste of what's to come," said Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg. "This is the biggest beta of this console generation by a wide margin and the largest console beta ever for a new video game IP to date."

They should of made it at least level 10 i got so much good stuff it was a great beta.

MTD I honestly think it had this many people play it was because of the amount of codes given to a person who pre-ordered it..


That and toward the end of it they did make it a open beta after all lol.

It is coming out on PC? Pretty sure they're actually trying with the PC version so its pushed back from consoles, not 100% on it though.

JRMH The game was not how I expected what-so-ever. I wish they'd expand MP. I stopped playing before I even learned of the competitive MP in the game, which was the reason I downloaded it to begin with. Great game, but not enough MP. :

Well there was 1 game mode and only 8 levels so what do you expect?
