Sony doesn’t understand why so many people are buying PS4s

Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida recently admitted he's a "bit nervous" about the success of the PlayStation 4. The console has sold 10 million units and the current generation is trending stronger than last. Will it run out of core customers?

"You need to understand why your products are selling well so you can plan for the future, right? It defied the conventional thinking," Yoshida recently told Eurogamer. "Lots of people thought the dedicated game hardware might not be needed going forward, but still lots of people are very excited."

The rightful concern Yoshida brings up is that Sony will exhaust the core customer. That the number of consumers interested in playing video games is a finite number that the company will rapidly reach with the new console. The good news for Sony is its initial market research is showing it's obtaining lots of new customers who didn't own a PS3, with some who didn't own any last-gen hardware.

Well it is a bit, self explanatory, as ps4 is cheaper and has near enough the same capablilites as the xbox one has.

This statement is entirely opinion based. From a spec standpoint, both consoles are almost identical and therefore it comes down to what the buyer/user enjoys more.

Don't push your beliefs on others unless you have some factual information to back up what you are saying. Otherwise, you are just stating your opinion which means nothing except to you.

R3vo Probably because Xbox one sucks and no one wants to pay the extra 100 dollars plus 60 dollars a year for multiplayer when they can just get better performance with the ps4. I use to be all for xbox but the one was so bad that I sold it almost immediately, I am glad sony is selling well and hopefully they keep it up, if I had the money I would buy a ps4.


All the Xbox one is the same price now has 1tb consoles coming and the online membership costs money on ps4. PS plus costs money to play online on ps4. I have both there "Both" great ! XBOX one will have its lead soon I feel with a whole lot of limited editions and 1tb hard drives etc. GG man read up on your facts :)

I think you should read up, I do not own 2 consoles just PS4 and I am not getting Xbox One it just didn't impress me enough however, you are saying that xbox one will lead because of 1TB and limited editions don't you know that this will also come to PS4?

I think it's just the problems that the Xbox1 Had at launch.
I guess people never forgave them etc.
